RBT Success Supervisor
We are looking for a local and experienced RBT(Registered Behavior Technician)* who, in addition to working with clients, would also serve as a role model for other BT’s/RBT’s by providing overlap sessions, coaching, and taking in a role in communicating expectations and best practices. * Therapists in a related field, providing direct care to children on the spectrum(such as occupational, speech, and developmental therapists), who meet all other requirements but do not currently possess an RBT certificate will have a path to remedy this need, and may still apply.
About this position:
Candidates should feel confident in their ability to and the appropriate skills required to be a successful behavior technician. This includes expertise in:
- Play based interventions,
- Motivating children to acquire new skills
- De-escalating high emotion interactions
- Ability to collect and interpret qualitative data
- Competency using the technology; including the specific services and applications we utilize, and the ability to adapt to new technology
- Ability to communicate with client guardians
- Ability to implement training for parents and staff
- Ability to assess situations and make appropriate and timely decisions that prioritize the health and safety of all involved
- Ability to demonstrate independence while knowing when to ask for help
- The ability to assist others in learning and developing the above skills

Compensation:
- Pay range for this role is $31-$33
- Although it is not standard, it is our practice to pay our employees their full hourly rate for all work tasks, including training and commute between work sites

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree(or higher) in Education or related field*
- *Accepted degree majors include: Psychology, Child Development, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Pediatric Therapy, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Sociology, Nursing, and other related fields or subfields of the above

- Must be available to work mornings and afternoons, including Saturdays 15-35 hours weekly
- Must possess your own car, and maintain the appropriate license(s) and insurance.
- Must be willing and able to commute along a wide stretch of our service area, including Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland, Walnut Creek and Castro Valley.
- Must have a valid RBT certification:

- Must have either:
- Bachelor’s degree(or higher) + 1 (or more) year(s) of experience in the ABA field and 12 college level units in applied behavior analysis, or
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 (or more) years of experience performing ABA or related therapies to a population of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in an in-person setting.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Additional Requirements:
- Able to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the department of Justice.
- Must pass a TB test and provide evidence of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Chicken Pox, Whooping Cough, Hepatitis B, and COVID-19.
- Able to obtain a CPR certificate.
- Able to travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation, proof of valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance, and acceptable driving record is required.
- *Able to obtain an RBT certificate, at the schedule set by our leadership, if one is not possessed by the applicant at time of offer.
Physical Requirements associated with this role:
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with infants/toddlers
- Ability to sit or stand for 6-8 hours per day.
- Frequent speaking and listening to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.
- Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting, and using upper and lower limbs to drive car to and from home visits and meetings
- Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials used in home visits, up to 50 pounds
- Ability to physically implement Behavior Management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior

Pay: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour
