AMEND Treatment Center in Malibu is seeking part-time/ full- time Mental Health Technicians to join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team providing residential mental health care for adults of all ages and genders. Set in a beautiful, home-like environment, this role is ideal for individuals who are warm, enthusiastic, and passionate about mental health care.

We are looking for candidates who value growth opportunities, excel in client interaction, and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders is preferred. Successful candidates will also demonstrate excellent judgment, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor client activities according to program schedules, including community meetings, groups, recreational activities, and mealtimes.
• Support clients in achieving their treatment goals using crisis intervention skills and communication, while prioritizing dignity and self-advocacy.
• Conduct regular facility inspections for cleanliness and safety, maintaining emergency and safety documentation.
• Perform property searches of clients when required by program standards.
• Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and phone handling.
• With proper clearance, provide transportation services using company vehicles for client appointments or agency errands.
• Attend training sessions, educational workshops, and complete required web-based training.
• Attend all required staff meetings and communicate effectively with colleagues regarding client care and progress.
• Maintain professionalism in dress, behavior, and language, and uphold company policies on confidentiality and boundaries.
• Exhibit knowledge and commitment to the philosophy and objectives of the company.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age.
• Completion of a criminal record clearance.
• Completion of a health screen with a negative tuberculosis (TB) test.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in mental health care.
