Brightside Counseling Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselors to join our team. We’re a small private practice offering mental health support in both remote and in-person settings, and we’re all about creating a warm, supportive environment for our clients and team members alike. In this role, you will contribute to creating a friendly and collaborative work environment where your ideas and input are valued. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our clients, helping to bring brighter days to their lives and to the community as a whole. Duties

As a Counselor at Brightside, here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Providing compassionate individual, family, child, and group counseling using evidence-based practices.
  • Conducting assessments and intakes to create and maintain collaborative treatment plans.
  • Keeping thorough and accurate patient records in an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  • Staying in touch with clients by responding to emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Sharing your expertise by writing a monthly blog for our company website.
  • Scheduling appointments based on your availability.
  • Handling crises and trauma situations with care and professionalism for both children and adults.
  • Connecting clients with community resources to support their well-being.
  • Upholding confidentiality and setting strong, clear professional boundaries.
  • The ability to work well with others, accept feedback, and grow as a professional.

Experience

  • A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • State Licensure or Certification as required by the State of Colorado.
  • Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques.
  • Strong research skills to contribute to ongoing program development and improvement initiatives.
  • Expertise in crisis intervention and trauma response.
