Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy offers ST, OT, PT, ABA, and counseling for patients, ages birth-30, in a highly collaborative and fun, sensory-focused setting. Therapists can easily incorporate movement and sensory activities into treatment sessions, using our engaging therapy gyms, sensory light room, and our playground. Teenagers and young adults at our facility have the unique opportunity to work on daily living activities and vocational activities in our on-site apartment, mock grocery store, and our on-site coffee shop.  At Cutting Edge, our focus is on therapy with a purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed insurance verification to efficiently communicate patient responsibilities to patients.
  • Schedule evaluations and appointments.
  • Update monthly clinic reports on evaluation availability per clinician.
  • Assist incoming patients through the new intake process.
  • Maintain a high level of performance and efficiency to coordinate the start of care for incoming patients.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Obtain documentation from physician offices for therapy, i.e. referrals, prescriptions, diagnostic testing, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding insurance, treatment needs, scheduling, and clinic information.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and varying volumes of work under pressure.
  • Possess a team-player mentality.
  • Assist the Office Manager with Primary Care Physician visits as needed with professionalism to maintain relationships for referrals.
  • Train and supervise the daily functions of the Front Office Coordinators.
  • Participate in community events and demonstrate a friendly, welcoming demeanor as a CEPT representative.
  • Enforce clinic policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule and conduct clinic tours for prospective patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement and continuously define processes and ideas for overall clinic improvement.
  • Report new patient referral and scheduling numbers to management weekly.
  • Coordinate monthly evaluation frequencies with management and lead clinicians.
  • Ability to handle complaints or unpleasant situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management in a timely manner.

Qualification and Skill Requirements

  • Requires at least one year of related experience in a medical office setting.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • One year of insurance verification and benefit explanation preferred.
  • Experience with and proficiency in electronic medical records.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the front office area and the clinic for extended periods of time to greet visitors, assist employees, and manage tasks.
  • Ability to work at a computer desk station for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift up to a minimum of 25 pounds.
