About Job

Licensed Psychologist – San Diego, CA
Join the Golden Hour — Where Meaningful Work Meets Work-Life Balance

Golden Hour Psychology is a brand-new, clinician-owned and clinician-run group practice in San Diego. We’re building a thoughtful, supportive home for psychologists who want flexibility, stability, and a real sense of community.

We're looking for a Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) who is open to providing clinical supervision and excited to be part of a growing practice from the ground floor. Specialists and generalists welcome—extra points if you enjoy working with military families, children, or conducting psych testing!

At Golden Hour, we believe in creating space for what matters. Just like the golden hour of sunlight—warm, calm, full of potential—we want our clinicians to feel grounded, appreciated, and aligned in their work.

What You’ll Get:

  • $85–$125/hr, depending on experience, supervision, and caseload
  • Paid twice a month via direct deposit
  • In-office or remote work available
  • Full-time benefits at just 30 hours/week, including:
  • Paid vacation (yes, even in private practice!)
  • Paid sick leave
  • Health insurance options (medical, dental, vision)
  • Opportunities to supervise pre-licensed associates (Ph.D, Psy.D., AMFT, ASW, APCC)
  • Flexible, clinician-driven scheduling – you set your hours
  • A gradual caseload build with full support from our team
  • Productivity bonuses after an initial period of time
  • All admin tasks handled – billing, credentialing, client communication, scheduling, and more, so you can focus on what you do best: delivering care
  • A fun, down-to-earth, and collaborative team that actually likes working together
  • Regular peer consultation and continuing education opportunities
  • Passive income opportunities (supervision, educational courses)
  • Complete control of your time, schedule, and patient caseload
  • Building a full-time caseload takes up to 8 weeks
  • Credentialing with insurance panels takes up to 8 weeks

Who You Are:

  • Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in California
  • Excited to supervise and support new clinicians
  • Interested in building something meaningful within a supportive structure
  • Bonus if you work with children or have experience with psychological testing
  • Kind, collaborative, and invested in great clinical work

Whether you're a seasoned psychologist looking for a new kind of group practice, or someone ready to grow into a leadership role—we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, send your resume and a short note about your clinical interests and supervision experience to admin@goldenhourpsych.com. We can’t wait to meet you.
