Summary
We are seeking a passionate Behavior Technician to join our team at The HUG Center. In this role, you will work directly with children, implementing therapeutic strategies that promote their growth and development. Your contributions will be vital in helping our children flourish in a supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct support to children during therapy sessions, fostering a safe and engaging environment.
- Collect and record data on each child's progress, ensuring accurate documentation of behavioral changes.
- Collaborate with team members to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Support children in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills through structured activities.
- Engage with families to provide updates on progress and strategies for continued support at home.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children and families.
- Ability to collect and analyze data related to behavior interventions.
- Background in special education or related fields is preferred but not required.
