The primary purpose of this position is to learn, train, and gain qualifying experience in the local government operations of the North Carolina Child Welfare system to become fully qualified for appointment to a permanent position as a Social Worker. Performs related duties as required.
This social worker will also perform backup coverage (a couple days a month) for On-Call duties during after- hours and weekends when the agency is closed. An additional expectation and requirement of this job includes Disaster Duty and overtime work (before 8:30am and after 5:00pm) as needed to meet the needs of the families and Agency.
Graduation from an accredited four-year degree granting college or university required.
Starting pay $43,000 plus up to $1,500 bonus every six months.
