The Office of Financial Aid strives to provide the highest quality service to undergraduate, graduate and professional students in pursuit of their academic goals. Our primary objective is to assist students and families in planning for and meeting expenses associated with attendance at the university. At our offices in Camden, Newark, New Brunswick, and Piscataway, we focus on establishing aid eligibility, awarding scholarships, grants, loans, and employment to eligible students as well as providing financial aid counseling to students and families.

Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Financial Aid Counselor-RH Newark for the Office of Financial Aid – Rutgers Health.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Provides administrative services for the processing of financial aid and counseling services of all students enrolled in academic programs at RBHS.
  • Formulates financial aid award packages using established federal, state and/or university policies.
  • Determines and approves financial aid eligibility using latest online technology and its responsible for complete accounts of financial aid records.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in student financial aid.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with networked mainframe and PC systems.
