The Registered Behavior Technician position at In STEPPS is an opportunity to do meaningful work at an established company. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism and other special needs at our Irvine location. You will help them develop the life skills necessary to succeed through our fun and playful intervention model. You will be assisting the children in our Academy classroom and may have the opportunity to support children in social skills groups or in home for additional hours outside of the Academy. By using Pivotal Response Teaching, we have established our practice as trauma informed and neuro-diverse affirming. We teach through play, and we have fun doing it! Responsibilities of the Registered Behavior Technician:

• Work 1:1 with clients using ABA and PRT Strategies in the In STEPPS Academy Classroom
• Complete data collection, in-service notes and procedures as directed by Supervisors.
• Participate in all trainings, evaluations, and team meetings.
• Communicate frequently and effectively with colleagues.
• Bring required materials as needed (toys, iPad, etc. provided by In STEPPS)
• Follow schedule as determined by administrative staff and supervisors.
• Work closely with families and supervisors. Provide consultations as appropriate.
• Comply with all reporting requirements of the company, including all administrative, payroll submissions, billing information, etc., on a timely basis.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required; AA/bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Reliable car, proof of auto insurance and valid driver's license required.
• Clean criminal background check.
• 8-12 months of experience in an ABA position preferred or experience in a similar field.
• School case experience preferred.
• RBT Certification preferrred
