Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. This role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management in accordance with best practices.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulations, including ICD-10 coding.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients, including those requiring home care or senior care services.
- Participate in case management activities and provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions.
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care, including medical imaging techniques relevant to the field.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and experience in gastroenterology is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems, particularly Epic or similar electronic health record platforms.
- Familiarity with sonography principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
