Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Job Responsibilities
● Ensure the prompt and accurate completion of all necessary clinical, fiscal and program related forms.
● Provide training and supervision to the Program Staff to ensure continuation of knowledge in the areas of crisis intervention and behavior modification and other related areas requiring increased skills.
● Work collaboratively with other members of the child's treatment team to design and direct the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan.
● Ensure that a comprehensive behavioral assessment is completed and all intervention plans are proactive and individualized.
● Develop behavioral data gathering instruments that contribute to rapid, valid, and reliable client and staff implementation.
● Assist in the management of aggressive clients as needed, using approved de-escalation and behavior management techniques.
● Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques, recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods to treatment team members and family and implement programs using the least restrictive treatment modality.
● Effectively monitor behavioral plan implementation regularly and communicate with all staff and professionals involved to ensure the effectiveness of all intervention techniques.
● Maintain awareness of the KidsPeace continuum of services and actively promote the internal transfer and referral of children and families whenever clinically indicated by attending bi-annual training on the continuum and communicating with associates between levels of care and actively seeking opportunities to share information about the continuum with consumers as evidenced by written documentation in the client record.
● Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services/Director of ABA Services.
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Qualifications
● Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field Required. Credentialed with Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and hold and maintain a BCBA Certification, preferred. Kidspeace can offer the supervision hours needed to apply for the BCBA certification.
● Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
● Must be at least 21 years of age.
● Valid driver's license, SCM certification, CPR/First Aid certification required. Many of these items can be obtained during new hire training.
