READS Collaborative is seeking a school social worker to fulfill a full time, longstanding position at Bristol Plymouth Vocational High School. The role primarily includes counseling and consultation with staff, as well as attending evaluation/IEP meetings, and developing IEP goals and objectives for students with counseling services. This position would also support students transitioning back to school following extended absences, including consultation and programmatic guidance. This position is eligible for benefits through READS Collaborative and contributes to MA Teachers Retirement System.The following outline of the role and responsibilities is intended to provide a broad overview, but is subject to change according to the needs of the school district, as required by the Superintendent of Schools: PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES Provide direct and consultative counseling services to students with and in need of counseling support.

Maintain thorough student records to document attendance, participation, and progress, ensuring confidentiality of all records. Use data to record student progress and update goals and objectives for students with IEPs. Establish and maintain standards of behavior to create safe, orderly, and effective environments for learning.
