Conway Behavioral Health Hospital in Conway, Arkansas, near Little Rock, treats adults and adolescents with a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and co-occurring addiction. Psychiatry patients require care from specialty-trained professionals, in a highly-specialized, and quality-focused inpatient environment. We are currently seeking to add a Full-Time, Inpatient Psychiatrist to our skilled and patient focused team.

About the role: Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.

One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.

Current license to practice medicine, by the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications

Board certification or Board Eligibility (0-5 years of residency) in a behavioral health specialty.

Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
