Description
Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team in providing exceptional support to U.S. military service members and their families.
This position allows you to play a crucial role in offering non-medical support that includes counseling, consultation, and outreach, specially designed to help service members and their families navigate the challenges of military life. Your work will focus on preventive counseling that addresses issues early on to prevent them from escalating into greater challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individuals, couples, and families).
- Engage in activities alongside service members, military spouses, and families; offer coaching and support to installation staff; model behavior management techniques.
- Deliver presentations at military-connect events for service members, families, and military leadership.
- Encourage creativity and positivity through the use of approved materials.
- Build relationships with parents and families by participating in installation and community events.
- Assist with transition challenges, such as moving to new schools and homes.
- Engage in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.
- Communicate trends and issues at assigned installations to Team Leads.

Additional Duties May Include:
- Responding to emergency situations on military installations.
- Maneuvering through various physical environments indoors and outdoors.
- Complying with site-specific requirements for designated work locations on military bases.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in various indoor (approximately 60%) and outdoor (approximately 40%) locations on military installations. Indoor work often occurs in a child development center (CDC). Outdoor settings may include traversing uneven terrains, stairs, and exposure to different weather conditions. Interactions with children may require sitting on the floor for extended periods.
Licensure Portability:
Under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), licensed Military and Family Life Counselors can provide non-medical counseling services in any U.S. state or territory, regardless of where they are licensed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- Independent practice level licensure (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, or Psychologist) in the U.S.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a basic employment background check, Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance.

Pay Range: $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
