The Behavioral Health Licensed Clinical Professional (Associate Level) will provide therapeutic services to individuals across a broad range of ages and diagnoses. Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic services, including assessments, crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group therapy, to adults and children/adolescents with various mental health and substance use disorders.
- Serve individuals with a wide variety of diagnoses, creating personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
- Facilitate connections and build relationships between the organization, individuals served, their parents/guardians, local agencies, and the community.
- Support individuals by coordinating referrals and connections to services that address their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Work closely with clinical and professional team members to maintain communication, offer feedback, and ensure consistent, effective treatment implementation.
- Standardize procedures to ensure high-quality, person-centered care and expedite treatment plans.

Job Requirements
Education & Licensure
- Associate-level licensure (e.g., LCMHCA, LMFTA, LCSWA, or similar) required.
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
Experience & Skills
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and person-centered treatment planning.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Requirements:
- Licensed Clinical Professional Associate is defined as an individual who is: (a) an individual who holds a provisional license, certificate, registration or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession, except a registered nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing who also has four years of full-time accumulated experience in MH/DD/SA with the population served; the QP function may be completed by a Certified Clinical Addiction Specialist (CCAS) or Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS); or (b)the individual must meet the requirements for continuing education to maintain licensure.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position may or may not have supervisor responsibilities depending on the job profile.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
- Must be able to pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
- Required to regularly stand and walk.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
