Psychologist to Join MLK Community Medical Group Integrated Behavioral Health Team
MLK Community Medical Group (MLK CMG) has an opening for a Full-Time Clinical Psychologist. The Psychologist will be part of the integrated behavioral health team consisting of a psychiatrist, a psychologist, MSW, LCSW, and substance use navigators.
This position works out of the on campus multi-specialty clinic (Wilmington).

The MLK Community Medical Group (MLK CMG) is a non profit, multi-specialty medical group with three clinics. Provider specialties include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nurse Practitioner FM, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Urology, Cardiology, Podiatry, Pediatrics, Infectious Disease, Vascular Surgery, Neurology, Nephrology, OB/Gyn, Midwifery, and Pulmonology. The MLK CMG delivery model allows for ample physician patient time with a team of support staff to help with care coordination and socio-economic barriers. Physician support staff include pharmacists, licensed social workers, medical assistants, nurses, diabetic educator, dietician, and carecoordinators.We
have also incorporated behavioral health to include a Psychologist and addiction counselors.
Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital (MLKCH), a private, nonprofit, safety net hospital, supports the medical group. MLKCH opened in July 2015 as a state of the art facility with best in class technology systems and operations. MLKCH has 131 licensed beds, including 93 medical/surgical beds, 20 intensive care beds and 18 obstetrical beds.The mission of MLKCH is to provide compassionate, collaborative, quality care and improve the health of our community. Its vision is to be a leading model of innovative, collaborative community healthcare. MLK CMG was created to support the hospital’s mission and vision.In April 2021, MLKCH received its accreditation by ACGME to begin its Internal Medicine Residency Program and in July 2022 welcomed its first class of Internal Medicine residents. We also currently host multiple rotations for Harbor UCLA, UCLA Medical Center, and USC.
MLKCH and MLK CMG clinics are located within three miles of each other. They are less than 30 minutes from LAX, the surrounding cities include Torrance, Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Cypress, Los Alamitos, and Anaheim, home of Disneyland.

Qualifications
- Fully licensed and credentialed in California, including a PsyD or PhD
- Bi-lingual (Spanish Speaking) is preferred, but not required
