About

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

If you want to impact and influence positive change in children's and young adult's lives, consider a Behavior Technician position with Keystone Achievements. A career with Keystone allows you to support and challenge yourself while mentoring kids to make life-long changes in their growth and become more independent.

Keystone practices trauma informed-care. We are committed to ethical, child-focused, clinical care. Keystone's clinical programs are individualized to each family. Therapy takes place in one of our centers or as a combination of in home, in center, and within the community. All sessions occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, leaving the evenings and weekends open to ensure a healthy work/life balance. We take a whole person approach to ABA so each child's programs include components of physical wellness, self-care, mindfulness, care of living space, as well as individualized programs for cognitive and language development.

Role and Responsibilities

The Registered Behavior Technician's (RBT) primary role is to provide continuous supervision applying the principals of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in accordance with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) programming and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) while working 1:1 with students. Keystone emphasizes Natural Environment Teaching (NET). Additionally, RBT's manage episodes of behavior and will be trained in the proper and appropriate use of Safety-Care for De-escalation and Physical Management. Ability to handle levels of stress associated with behavioral episodes while following through with the principals of ABA and maintaining a neutral demeanor is necessary in this field.

Finally, RBT's work with the BCBA to collect, monitor, and input data from all programming and interventions. RBT's will report and evaluate progress with BCBA to guarantee best use of therapy time with each of our students.
