Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize music therapy techniques to support individuals with various needs, including those with autism and other disabilities. This role involves working closely with clients to enhance their emotional, cognitive, and social well-being through the therapeutic use of music.

Duties

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using music as a therapeutic tool.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and goals.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions that may include art therapy elements to enhance the therapeutic experience.
• Provide counseling for individuals dealing with addiction or other mental health challenges.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

Skills

• Proficiency in music therapy techniques and methodologies.
• Experience working with individuals with autism and various disabilities.
• Strong understanding of individual and group counseling practices.
• Knowledge of medical record keeping and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to engage clients through creative expression in music and art therapy.
