Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Music Therapist to join our team who is committed to enriching the lives of older adults through structured, therapeutic, and recreational services in a warm and supportive environment. We are currently seeking a passionate and engaging Music Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team.

Job Description:

The Music Therapist will use music-based interventions to support the emotional, cognitive, and social well-being of our adult day care participants. This role involves conducting both individual and group sessions tailored to participants’ needs and abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead therapeutic music sessions that align with participant interests and therapeutic goals
  • Foster group participation through singing, rhythm activities, and movement
  • Collaborate with staff to integrate music into daily programming
  • Document session outcomes and participant responses
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy
  • Certification (MT-BC) preferred or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience working with older adults or individuals with cognitive and physical impairments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, compassion, and creativity

Preferred

  • Russian speaking
  • Experience in adult day care or long-term care settings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
