This is a Part-Time weekend position: Friday 11:00pm-Sunday 11:00pm

Are you passionate about providing crisis intervention and supporting individuals in need? Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking compassionate professionals to join our Mobile Crisis Team in Kinston and Goldsboro. In this role, you'll provide crisis interventions for individuals in crisis, collaborating with agencies like LME/MCO, law enforcement, DSS, and hospitals to ensure a coordinated response. You’ll help develop strength-based crisis plans, focusing on coping strategies and safe resolution of crises.

11:00pm -11:00pm

What You’ll Do

As a Mobile Crisis Counselor, you will be responsible for responding promptly to dispatches, completing thorough assessments and interventions to address each crisis, and providing transportation for individuals in need when necessary. You will also assist individuals and their support systems in developing a crisis plan aimed at enhancing coping skills and ensuring the safe resolution of future crises.

What We’re Looking For

To join our team, you must be willing to provide in-person care in the homes and in various community settings in and around Kinston and Goldsboro, rotate crisis responder coverage, have a passion for helping others, have experience with diffusing crisis, and able to link clients to community resources. We also require the following:

  • Must meet the minimum standards of a NC qualified professional
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
    • Two years’ experience in crisis with the MH/SA population-internships count.
  • A valid driver's license, current auto insurance, a good driving record and reliable transportation
