Overview
The AMFT (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist), ASW (Associate Social Worker), or APCC (Associate Professional Clinical Counselor) position is designed for compassionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to providing high-quality mental health support. As an AMFT, ASW, or APCC, you will work under the supervision of a licensed professional (clinical director) to deliver therapeutic services to clients facing various challenges. This role is essential in promoting sobriety and mental wellness and supporting individuals through their healing journey.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as behavioral therapy and art therapy.
- Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans that address specific issues, including grief counseling and PTSD care.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients in distress, ensuring safety and support during critical moments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including direct support during inpatient stays.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and stay current with best practices in mental health care.
Skills
- Proficient in substance use disorder, behavioral therapy techniques, and therapy modalities.
- Knowledge of terminology relevant to addiction practices.
- Strong crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Experience or training in grief counseling and PTSD care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with direct support roles within inpatient settings.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
