Responsibilities:
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides quality ABA services to the patients on the
Specialty Pediatric Unit. In addition, the BCBA serves as the professional who develops and implements
ongoing services to the staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Assist in the implementation of ABA programming on the Specialized Pediatric Unit
? Provides supervision to the Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavioral Health Associates
? Trains new staff on ABA techniques
? Keeps abreast of advances in treatment and sets appropriate goals for self-improvement
? Facilitates daily team meetings
? Attends staff meetings as required and completes all yearly mandatory in-services
? Provides direct services to the patients on the Specialized Pediatric Unit
? Conducts the appropriate assessments in a timely manner
? Participates in performance improvement activities
? Follows all hospital policies and procedures
? Must maintain license or certification in good standing
? Flexible schedule. Possible weekends or evenings when appropriate
? Employee will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned by their supervisor

and equipment. Implement the approved program plan
objectives
, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.

Oversee the program's budget and policies
regarding
participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. Work may involve directing counselors, clinical staff or other facility / clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program.
Provides
management and oversight for the facility program.

Develop and implement
procedures to ensure efficient operations of th
e program; continually
identify
opportunities to improve program's efficiency; coordinate care delivery,
work flow
; oversee scheduling, registration, discharge and billing processes for the person(s) receiving services according to facility / clinic procedure.

Provide
staff management to
including
hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
Responsible for an assigned caseload if applicable to the program.

Monitor
staff schedules to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are available to fac
ilitate care in a timely manner.

Serve as liaison and provides consultation with other staff on related issues, regulations, and standards pertaining to area of clinical specialty.

objectives
, treatment protocol, regulations, and standards of care; ensures that operations conform to
established
environmental, safety, and infection control requirements.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
? Experience with the development and implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans
? Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
? Experience with working with adolescent population
? Must be skilled and competent to provide services to the patient.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
? Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by BACB
? CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by
facility).
? First aid may be required based on state or facility.
