Job Summary
The Guidance Counselor plays a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. This position involves working closely with students to provide guidance, support, and resources to help them navigate their educational journey. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of childhood development and behavioral health, as well as experience working with students in various capacities.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to create supportive learning environments.
- Develop and implement programs that promote student well-being and success.
- Assist students with standardized testing preparation and interpretation of results.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
- Advocate for students' needs within the school system and connect them with appropriate resources.
- Stay informed about child protective services and special education resources to support diverse student needs.
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Experience working with children in educational or counseling settings.
- Familiarity with standardized testing processes and requirements.

Pay: $44,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
