Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs. Provides care to Palliative and IP Behavioral Health units.Responsibilities:
- Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and needs. Develops and implements therapeutic interventions appropriate to treatment goals.
- Performs interventions utilizing art therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age, condition, and needs of the patient or group served. Designs, coordinates and provides art therapy services and programs for a variety of patient and community populations.
- Documents patient information, therapy provided, feedback and results.
- Serves as a resource to the organization regarding art therapy. May supervise art therapists, students and interns.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Master's degree in Art Therapy.
