Effective for hires after 9/13/2015: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required. Associate degree in nursing (ADN) will be considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years of date of hire or date of transfer to an RN position. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
One year of clinical nursing experience required (preferably with geriatric populations) with at least 1,000 hours in an acute care hospital or 2,000 hours in a home health setting as required by the California Department of Health Care Services.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart AssociationSKILLS:
Clinical assessment skills, knowledge of community resources and public benefits, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and with clients/families in the home setting. Knowledge of aging programs for seniors and/or adults with disabilities. Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn and utilize specialized software with training and support.
