About The Position
- Job Title:** Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Psychologist**Job Specialty:** Social Worker**Job Duration:** Not Specified**Shift:** Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with four (4) hours per week after 5:00 PM**Guaranteed Hours:** Not Specified**Experience:** At least eight (8) months in intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and at least one year in examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families**License:** Must have and retain a valid TLLP or LLP in Psychology with the State of Michigan**Certifications:** Must obtain the credential of Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) and Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP) within 120 days of hire**Must-Have:** MDHHS Central Registry and Police clearance**Job Description:**- Responsible for psychological evaluations, including administration and interpretation of psychometric instruments- Provide direct services to individuals and families served, including development of treatment goals and case service plans- Conduct thorough assessments, individual counseling, parent training, behavior modification plans, and crisis intervention- Interpret evaluation results to individuals and families- Offer consultation to staff regarding families and their members- Conduct staff in-services specific to consumers served- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate significant data for reports and eligibility determination- Complete intakes on new consumers as needed- Develop and maintain written records necessary for professional practice- Complete 24 hours of program-specific training annually- Adapt work hours to meet consumer and program needs- Maintain nonjudgmental and culturally competent approach, with effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to engage with families**Benefits:**- Mileage reimbursement when personal vehicle is used- Coverage for training expenses- Medical, dental, and vision insurance- 401K plan- Paid time off and holidaysNote: Applicants cannot be on student/work visas or require sponsorship to work in this position.
