Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated School Psychologist for a full-time position with school districts in the Woodhaven, Michigan area. Position Details:

  • Contract: Current academic year, with renewal opportunities based on performance

Applicant Requirements:

To be considered, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

  • Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

  • Current and valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)

  • State of Michigan licensure (if applicable)

  • Completion of a supervised internship (minimum of 600 hours) in a school setting

  • Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred

  • Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance as required by the school district

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and interpret test results to assess students cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral development

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Provide direct and consultative services to students, parents, teachers, and school staff

  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed

  • Support Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks

  • Monitor progress and make data-driven recommendations for student success

  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and reevaluation processes
