Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Resident Specialist to join our team. The Resident Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for both prospective and current residents at our affordable apartment complex. This role involves leasing apartments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8). The Resident Specialist markets available units, processes applications, certifies eligibility, renews leases, and fosters a positive community environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leasing: Conduct property tours, highlight amenities, and address prospect inquiries. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of available units. Assist in the onboarding process for new residents. 
• Application Processing: Screen applicants, verify income eligibility, and ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations. Collect and process applications, leases, and related documentation.  
• Resident Relations: Address resident concerns, coordinate maintenance requests, and build positive relationships to enhance resident retention.  
• Compliance: Maintain accurate records, ensure adherence to federal, state, and local affordable housing guidelines (e.g., LIHTC), and prepare reports for audits. 
• Administrative Tasks: Manage lease agreements, renewals, and oversee move-in and move-out processes. Update resident files and maintain organized documentation.  

Compensation details: 22-23 Hourly Wage
