Victory Recovery Partners is a mission-driven Outpatient Recovery Center. We are unique in that we provide a one stop location for multiple services such as Medication Assisted Treatment, Wellness, Behavioral Health, and Psychiatry under one roof. It is our mission to provide care with dignity and respect in comfortable and welcoming settings. Since our initial opening in Farmingville, we have expanded our services to include four additional locations - in Hempstead, Hicksville, Massapequa Park and Shirley. We intend to open other locations throughout Long Island and beyond so that we can increase access to high quality substance use care. We are currently looking for a full-time counselor, bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred, to work in our Farmingville, NY (Suffolk County) location. The Counselor position includes patient centered care - performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, case management, group and individual counseling, crisis management, and development of treatment and discharge plans.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group therapy for assigned caseload.
• Provide case management for assigned caseload.
• Furnish in-depth psychosocial assessments and screenings to determine appropriateness for treatment and level of care.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed with referrals to assist clients in meeting their treatment plan and goals.
• Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in compliance with OASAS guidelines.
• Document all notes from patient sessions in Electronic Medical Records system.

Experience, Education and Required Skills/Abilities:

• CASAC, CASAC-T, LMSW, LMHC and MSW certifications/licensure.
• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
• Bilingual, Spanish speaking preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Experience and comfortability with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
• Working with a flexible schedule      
• Being creative with working with patients to have them attend appointments      
• Highly motivated to work with patients with substance use

Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
