At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.

As Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor you will assess and offer social supports to families in the prevention programs. Some responsibilities include assessing all new prevention program intakes within 30 days. Review case disposition using ACS mandated assessment and screening tools. Maintaining an Excel tracking of assessments and screenings. Actively participating in case supervisions to ensure screenings and assessment findings have processed with the planning team; makes diligent efforts to meet face-to-face contact requirements with families during the initial treatment.

TEMPORARILY HYBRID: 2 days on-site, additional days as needed programmatically.

Requirements:

  • BA Degree in Human Services, MSW Preferred
  • CASAC Certification or CASAC T

Additional Requirements:

  • Fluency in Spanish required.
  • Required to travel throughout the borough of the Bronx and to other CMCS locations.
