Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group music therapy services to clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Assess client needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and document progress effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and families to maximize client outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid Waiver guidelines and professional standards.
- Utilize technology (Word, Excel, and related software) for documentation and communication.
- Manage caseload independently while meeting deadlines and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Completed degree program from an accredited school approved by the American Music Therapy Association.
- Certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC).
- Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and related software.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
