Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group music therapy services to clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Assess client needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and document progress effectively.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and families to maximize client outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicaid Waiver guidelines and professional standards.
  • Utilize technology (Word, Excel, and related software) for documentation and communication.
  • Manage caseload independently while meeting deadlines and organizational goals.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Completed degree program from an accredited school approved by the American Music Therapy Association.
  • Certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC).
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and related software.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
