HEAD COUNSELOR



Camp Live Oak is an educational and environmental day camp that has been offering quality programs for over 35 years to children ages 5-16. We are currently looking for Head Counselors and Junior Counselors to join our Summer Camp 2025 team at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale.

Camp runs from June 9 – August 15, 2025, and includes weekly themes focused on environmental science, marine biology, sustainability, and the arts. Our counselors are known for promoting positive attitudes, encouraging group cohesiveness, and of course, having fun while supervising activities like science labs, archery, art, canoeing, fishing, sports, guest speakers, and exciting field trips.

Certified Teacher or extensive childcare experience

Enthusiastic about the outdoors and promoting respect for the environment

CPR/First Aid Certified

Minimum age of 21

• Must be able to work full camp days (8:30am – 4:00pm) from June 9 – August 15, 2025
  
• Must be able to attend a mandatory Staff Training on June 7, 2025
  
Camp experience is a plus!

Science and/or art education experience is a plus!
