We’re Hiring: Counselor – Adult Criminal Justice and Treatment Services (ACJS)
Location: Illinois
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $43,800 – $47,000 (based on experience and education)

About the ACJS Program
TASC’s Adult Criminal Justice and Treatment Services (ACJS) supports individuals struggling with substance use disorders. We provide services such as:

  • Screening and assessments

  • Treatment placement and monitoring

  • Support for insurance, ID, and employment resources

  • Client progress reporting and follow-up

Position Summary: Treatment Counselor
As a Counselor, you will provide direct clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders. This includes both one-on-one and group counseling. You will assess client needs, collaborate on treatment plans, monitor progress, and ensure all documentation and reporting are completed according to agency standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions

  • Complete behavioral health assessments

  • Develop and review individualized treatment plans

  • Monitor client progress toward treatment goals

  • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners

  • Participate in staff meetings and supervision

  • Complete all required documentation and reports

  • Meet weekly production and service goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or four years of human services experience

  • A master’s degree is preferred for some programs

  • Ability to obtain CADC certification within two years

  • Experience with high-risk populations

  • Knowledge of behavioral health and treatment planning

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Group facilitation experience
