Job Summary: The Intake Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) works in partnership with a team of behavioral health professionals to help adults with serious mental illness who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions and/or IDD establish and maintain ongoing care. The Intake QMHP participates in diagnostic evaluation, completes assessments to identify needs and strengths, determines eligibility for services, and works in partnership with diverse individuals to develop person-centered recovery plans to define desired life outcomes.

Qualified Mental Health Clinicians (QMHP) operate in a dynamic environment, develop extensive knowledge of community resources, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and cultivate a clinical skill set by forging therapeutic relationships with diverse community members. QMHPs embrace trauma sensitive and informed practices, provide suicide safer care, and foster a supportive and welcoming environment that promotes racial and health equity. Interventions and services can be both office and community based and may require the use of a personal automobile. Individuals served may be diagnosed with mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, and/or IDD.

Staff members in this position are working under the supervision of a clinically licensed professional who provides ongoing evaluation and oversight of all assessments, diagnoses and treatment. At this level, clinical assignments may be of moderate complexity and are handled with considerable independence, and complicated cases receive closer clinical review and supervision. Services provided may include individual, family and/or group skills training using evidence-based interventions, crisis assessment, and case management. Work is performed under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.


Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field. Master's degree preferred.

License:

Required:

  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Bilingual preferred.

Hours: Full-Time.

Workdays: Monday - Friday.

Workhours: 8:00am - 5:00pm.


Salary: $23.25 - $24.41 an hour based on education.
