Job Summary:
The Dual Enrollment Counselor works directly with dual enrollment students, parents, faculty, and counselors to recruit new students into the program, and to support the students enrolled in the program. The Dual Enrollment Counselor will collaborate with the first-year recruitment team to ensure a seamless transition from high school to first-year enrollment at JSU. With an emphasis on recruitment marketing, this position will also assist with communication planning and digital marketing in the recruitment and retainment of dual enrollment students.

Job Summary:

Duties And Responsibilities:
- Manages a geographic territory of prospective students (as assigned).
- Creates and implements an individual marketing plan to include knowledge of assigned high school history; area alumni, competitors and factors of influence to assist the university in successfully achieving its educational mission.
- Travels to high schools as a university representative to develop relationships with students, educators, and administrators.
- Serves as a resource to students, families, faculty and staff regarding Dual Enrollment and Undergraduate Enrollment.
- Identifies and addresses concerns of prospective students.
- Assists high schools and students with the dual enrollment application, scholarship application, and registration process.
- Performs follow up with interested students through acceptance and enrollment.
- Presents self in a professional manner in all contact situations within the assigned region.
- Partners with various university departments in order to coordinate students’ success in the program.
- Participates in professional development activities to stay abreast of emerging trends in the field.
- Assists the Coordinator, Dual Enrollment Admissions & Recruitment with all aspects of dual enrollment recruitment, student success, marketing, and events for the Dual Enrollment Program.
- Assists the Associate Director, Undergraduate Admissions with the recruitment and transition of dually enrolled students to first-year undergraduate students.
- Assists the Coordinator, Dual Enrollment Admissions & Recruitment and the Undergraduate Office of Admissions in the development and implementation of admissions marketing techniques and materials.
- Assists with the selection and coordination of the Dual Enrollment Ambassador Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study
- Valid driver’s license
- 1-2 years of experience in higher education student recruitment, marketing, or sales
