About us:
Freedom Detox is a licensed 6-bed detoxification facility in Los Angeles dedicated to
providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals beginning their journey of
recovery. We’re a growing team committed to changing lives, and we’re looking for a
qualified Clinical Director to lead our therapeutic program with integrity, empathy, and
leadership.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Director oversees the clinical team and is responsible for ensuring quality client
care, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role works closely with
the Medical Director and Program Director to coordinate all aspects of client treatment and
uphold the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of therapeutic services, ensuring clinical excellence and
individualized care plans
- Supervise therapists, counselors, case managers, and interns; conduct regular chart
reviews and documentation audits
- Develop and implement clinical programming, policies, and procedures in alignment
with DHCS standards
- Coordinate with the medical team regarding detox protocols, psychiatric evaluations,
and continuity of care
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of clinical staff
- Provide direct services as needed, including assessments, group facilitation, and crisis
intervention
- Ensure documentation meets state and insurance standards for licensure and audits
- Attend leadership and compliance meetings
- Foster a safe, ethical, and culturally sensitive treatment environment
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (required)
- Licensed or registered in California as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment, preferably
in a detox or residential setting
- 1+ year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Strong understanding of ASAM criteria, clinical documentation standards, and trauma-
informed care
