Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Additional Availability: One day per week until 4:00 PM for team meetings; occasional before/after school hours as needed
Location: Hiring in West Hempstead, Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island City
Setting: School/classroom-based (12-month program)
Pay: Competitive hourly compensation

What is a Behavior Coach / RBT?
Also known as Behavior Technicians, RBTs are certified professionals who work directly with children with autism to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. You’ll implement treatment plans developed by a supervising BCBA and play a vital role in helping each student grow in a school-based setting.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-on-1 or small group ABA therapy in the classroom
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collect and record accurate data on student behavior and progress
  • Support students with daily living, communication, and self-regulation skills
  • Work closely with teachers, BCBAs, and other staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Attend regular team meetings and BCBA-led supervision
  • Follow ethical guidelines and school policies at all times

What You’ll Need:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience with autism or special education (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset and a passion for helping children
  • Ability to follow behavior plans and collect session data accurately
  • Physical ability to manage crisis situations, including CPI therapeutic holds and lifting when needed
