Role Summary

Alliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking an Intern to support our Counseling and College Success Team in the Alliance Home Office and—by extension— our work to cultivate and empower exceptional talent at every level of the organization who prepare our scholars to be successful in college and in life. This position reports directly to the Director, School Counseling and supports the Counseling and College Success Team team through administrative and general support.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support Data Analyst in updating the Key Performance Indicator Dashboard
  • Support the Professional Development Committee Lead in counselor professional development sessions planning and execution
  • Create newsletters, counselor mailings, videos, etc.
  • Maintain a database of both scholar and counselor external opportunities that include, scholarships, trainings, internships, etc
  • Support and participate in virtual School Counseling, Matriculation and/or Counseling, and College Success Team Meetings and events

  • Relationship-Building. Have strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (e.g. G.E.D.), Associate's degree, current college or recent graduate preferred
  • Experience with large datasets in Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Familiar with the Google Suite
  • Attention to detail

Other Compensation Details

  • This position is a temporary role that will last until June 30, 2026
  • This is a part-time position and will work a maximum of 29 hours per week.
  • This position is generally not eligible for staff benefits except those mandated by applicable law.

Compensation

$18.00 - $18.00
