Description

The School District of Waukesha is seeking qualified candidates to apply for an opening as a School Psychologist. This position will serve students at Waukesha North High School (9th-12th) 40% FTE, and eAchieve (K-12th) 60% FTE.

Scope of practice for School Psychology required:

Data based decision making and accountability
Consultation and Collaboration
Interventions and instructional support for academic success, including progress monitoring
School-wide practices to promote learning
Case manage initial IEP evaluations
Interventions and mental health services for social and life skills
Preventive and responsive services, including individual student support
Family-school collaboration services
Diversity in development and learning
Research and program evaluation
Legal, ethical and professional practice

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of assessment and student progress monitoring
Knowledge of special education rules and regulations
Ability to collaborate and develop positive relationships with staff, students, families, and the community in order to enhance student learning
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Experience with RTI/EMLSS including data analysis and programming, academic and behavioral interventions
Crisis intervention
Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
