Description
The School District of Waukesha is seeking qualified candidates to apply for an opening as a School Psychologist. This position will serve students at Waukesha North High School (9th-12th) 40% FTE, and eAchieve (K-12th) 60% FTE.
Scope of practice for School Psychology required:
Scope of practice for School Psychology required:
- Data based decision making and accountability
- Consultation and Collaboration
- Interventions and instructional support for academic success, including progress monitoring
- School-wide practices to promote learning
- Case manage initial IEP evaluations
- Interventions and mental health services for social and life skills
- Preventive and responsive services, including individual student support
- Family-school collaboration services
- Diversity in development and learning
- Research and program evaluation
- Legal, ethical and professional practice
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of assessment and student progress monitoring
- Knowledge of special education rules and regulations
- Ability to collaborate and develop positive relationships with staff, students, families, and the community in order to enhance student learning
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Experience with RTI/EMLSS including data analysis and programming, academic and behavioral interventions
- Crisis intervention
- Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
