About Job

Del Mar Medical Group is seeking a Licensed Psychologist or Neuropsychologist to perform Neurpsych testing on patients that have sustained an injury to their head.

Provider must be licensed in California and have the ability to assess neurological injury or illness as the result of head trauma. Ideal candidate will be well versed in how to administer, score, and interpret neuropsychological tests. Best part of this position is YOU decide what days you'd like to work, we offer everything needed to complete the testing including test kits, support staff, evaluation rooms etc. Ideally provider will create a consistent schedule so staff may schedule patients on days that work best for provider.

Duties

  • Schedule patients that have been approved for neuropsych testing.
  • Secure appropriate tests for specific age range of patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Review medical and psychological history, educational and work background prior to test administration.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Stay informed about advancements in psychology, particularly related to traumatic brain injury and developmental disabilities as a result of head trauma

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure to practice psychology.
  • Experience in child family counseling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with head trauma is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices.
  • Proven experience in providing psychotherapy, particularly for adults and those experiencing PTSD.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

We offer exam rooms, office space for testing, support staff to schedule and greet patients and free parking.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Very competitive flat rate for completed testing

Expected hours: 4-10 per week

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift - whatever day works best Monday-Friday
  • Choose your own hours
