Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and educational success of students by providing psychological assessments, counseling, and interventions. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral health, crisis intervention, and the unique needs of children with disabilities, including autism. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment for all students.
Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Offer crisis intervention services to support students in distress or experiencing behavioral issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on topics related to mental health, behavioral management, and support for students with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, interventions, and progress while ensuring confidentiality.
- Engage with parents and guardians to provide support and resources for their children's mental health needs.
- Advocate for the rights of students with disabilities and promote inclusive practices within the school environment.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychological testing methods and assessment tools.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations.
- Ability to provide effective individual and group counseling tailored to diverse student populations.
- Experience in crisis intervention strategies and behavioral health support.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $66.00 - $71.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
