About Job

. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Resident Care Coordinator to oversee the administration of medications and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical documentation and be familiar with regulatory compliance, including HIPAA standards. This role is essential in providing safe medication management within our assisted living/adult living facility

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' vital signs and health status to ensure optimal care.
  • Educate staff and residents on medication management and proper administration techniques, including tube feeding when necessary.
  • Ensure that all medication storage and handling practices meet safety standards.
  • Provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their unique needs are met effectively.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in medication management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments.
  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in residents' conditions.
  • Experience with tube feeding procedures is a plus.
  • Compassionate approach towards working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses as required by state regulations for medication administration.
