Psychiatry (Child and Adolescent) - The Newton-Wellesley Hospital (NWH) Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a supportive, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality, family-focused, evidence-based care.
This is a 0.6 - 1.0 FTE position involving a combination of on-site and remote work. Primary responsibilities include providing clinical care to children and adolescents in the outpatient setting and as part of the Child Psychiatry Consultation Liaison team. Additional opportunities include collaboration with the MGH Cancer Center at NWH through the Parenting at A Challenging Time (PACT) program and participation in our community health initiative, The Resilience Project.
Team and Qualifications
Our multi-disciplinary team includes psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, mental health counselors, a medical assistant, and administrative support. Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in adult and child/adolescent psychiatry. Ideal applicants will have excellent communication skills, expertise in child development, and psychopharmacology.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
- Administrative and educational roles may include serving on hospital committees, educational programs, and weekly team meetings for case review and quality assurance.
- Opportunities to serve as a preceptor for Tufts medical students and MGH pediatric residents rotating at NWH.
- A faculty appointment, commensurate with experience, is available.
