Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. If you are not currently a certified RBT, the necessary training can be provided to acquire the certification. In the RBT role, you will work directly with children and individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care, promoting positive behavior changes, and collecting data to track progress.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on patient behaviors and progress towards goals.
- Provide direct support and care to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Assist in the development of care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and patient care.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health is beneficial.
- Strong data collection skills to accurately track client progress is required
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to develop rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a respectful and compassionate manner.
