Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health counseling to individuals and families, focusing on those with mental health concerns. This role requires a strong understanding of therapeutic practices, crisis intervention techniques, and the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations. The Family Therapist will work collaboratively with clients to develop effective treatment plans that promote healing and growth.

Duties

• Conduct individual, couples and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices in mental health counseling.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with healthcare professionals.
• Open to working with individuals from diverse and marginalized backgrounds.

Experience

• Proven experience in mental health counseling/therapy.
• Strong background in crisis intervention techniques and patient care practices.
• Familiarity with clinical research methodologies and the ability to apply findings to practice.
• Proficient understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes and therapeutic techniques.
• Experience with therapy modalities that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, or other relevant approaches.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
