Description:Primary responsibilities will include direct counseling services and completion of comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services, collaboration with school based teams to utilize diagnostic information to improve student performance in schools and the establishment of collaborative relationships with families to facilitate the special education evaluation process and support families in accessing resources needed to understand the impact of disabilities on school functioning. Other responsibilities may also be assigned at the discretion of the District Administration.
Qualifications: Successful candidate for this position must have Connecticut certification as a School Psychologist (070). Must be knowledgeable about the diagnostic processes and legal requirements for evaluating students to determine eligibility for special education services in CT.
