Status: Full-Time

The Arizona Institute for Autism is a premier provider of ABA therapy services for children on the autism spectrum. We are seeking a BCBA in Training who is passionate, reliable, and eager to grow clinically while contributing to the success of our clients and team.

This is a unique opportunity for professionals who have completed their Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and are actively pursuing BCBA certification. Applicants must be eligible for the BCBA exam and committed to applying within 3 months of hire.

Job Summary

As a BCBA in Training, you will work under the guidance of a supervising BCBA while taking on clinical responsibilities and leadership opportunities within your scope. You will help ensure high-quality ABA services through training, oversight, and support of Behavior Technicians and RBTs. This role is designed to prepare you for independent practice as a BCBA by offering hands-on experience and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day clinical operations of assigned caseloads
  • Conduct initial training and mentoring of new Behavior Technicians
  • Provide session coverage and direct supervision as needed to maintain smooth scheduling
  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in center-based settings in alignment with treatment plans
  • Collaborate with supervising BCBAs to implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor and ensure the quality and timeliness of session notes and data collection
  • Provide feedback and coaching to RBTs and Behavior Technicians to maintain clinical excellence
  • Participate in professional and parent consultation meetings
  • Ensure implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as prescribed
  • Monitor and update treatment goals in Central Reach as needed
  • Submit clinical documentation and reports promptly, with minimal revisions

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Eligible to sit for the BCBA exam within 3 months of hire
  • Actively pursuing BCBA certification (must show proof of hours and supervision if applicable)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social work, childcare, education, or behavioral services for individuals with special needs
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles and passion for clinical growth

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
