We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Marriage Therapist to join our dedicated team of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to helping marriages navigate their challenges and improve their overall well-being. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals and marriages, focusing on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthy relationships. The Marriage Therapist will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with sexual addictions.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify individual and marital needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy plans that address specific issues faced by couples.
  • Provide individual, marriage, and possibly, group counseling sessions to facilitate emotional healing and growth.
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., psychiatrist) to coordinate comprehensive care for clients when warranted
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes using ICD-10 coding standards.
  • Have or will acquire a strong utilization of The Gottman Method, EFT, Imago Relationship Therapy or alike
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best therapy practices.

Skills

  • Strong background in relational crisis intervention strategies.
  • Proficient in various therapy modalities including individual and marriage counseling.
  • Knowledge of coding practices relevant to mental health documentation, particularly ICD-10.
  • Familiarity with PTSD care techniques and interventions due to partner addiction.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills to effectively evaluate client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with couples.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $125.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
