Job Summary
The social worker is responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth of students. The teacher plans and implements lessons, assesses student progress, and collaborates with parents, colleagues, and administrators to ensure the success of each child.
Salary, length of work year and ongoing service shall be determined by the Board of Education based on discussion in the interview.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- School Social Worker endorsement
- Knowledge of current educational and instructional methodologies and techniques
- Knowledge of theories and practices of child development
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare, and implement lesson materials in accordance with district resources and alignment with State standards and Antioch CCSD 34’s philosophy and objectives
- Employs a variety of instructional methods/techniques and materials to differentiate learning activities for all students
- Promotes and maintains appropriate student behavior
- Participates on committees to develop and improve instruction and/or other building level goals/initiatives
- Actively pursues continual professional growth and is committed to our vision of making our school a place of excellence
- Maintains accurate and complete records involving student information required by law, District policy, and administrative direction
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $47.12 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
