Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Technician to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism and developmental delays in their homes. This role focuses on helping children build life, social, and independence skills through individualized, research-supported interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support during everyday routines, play, and community outings
- Encourage client progress and independence through structured sessions
- Follow and offer insights on behavior plans created by a supervising BCBA
- Record session data, track behavior metrics, and maintain client documentation
- Stay in regular contact with your BCBA and complete training and supervision hours as required
- Comply with HIPAA standards, maintaining confidentiality and client safety at all times
- Offer light assistance with household tasks or transportation when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Proficient in English and Spanish (required)
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, remain physically active, and respond quickly to movement
- Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to reach client homes
- Commitment to completing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days (training provided)
- Must pass a background check
